The Only Way to Get the Police under Control

Forget about reconstructing the grand jury system. Forget about retraining existing police forces. Forget about body cameras. These actions will help, but, white racist police will continue to be who they are whether or not the above actions are taken. These people will continue to disregard Black life, and in fact, would still treat an animal better. This is simply the nature of being white and racist. Can a leopard change its spots?

Control the Politics and the Politicians
What is necessary is that anywhere Black voters have a majority, they must become politically astute and as Malcolm X. once said, "control both the politics and the politicians in their community, town, or city." There should never be a white politician who supposedly represents Black constituents. They must identify, support, and elect politicians from their own community, give them an agenda, and hold them accountable.

Elect a Civilian Review Board with Power
To get the police under control, Black voters must specifically elect a Civilian Review Board and the Board must have the power to both discipline and fire policeman when the need arises. I emphasize that this elected board must have the power to discipline and fire out-of-control police. This power cannot be in the hands of the mayor, city manager, or police chief.

The Civilian Review Board in conjunction with the mayor, and the communities' political representatives must draft policies, procedures, hiring criteria, and the training the police will have to undergo. No police unions, fraternal orders, or associations will be permitted. The policeman’s only job will be to serve and protect. If they don’t do this, they will be summarily fired.

Pinpoint Police Training
The training component, a key element, must emphasize the importance of respecting those they are serving and protecting. The police will be required to meet and maintain specific physical qualifications and requirements. They must know when and how to use their firearms appropriately. And, also they must also learn how to subdue a person when necessary and not just be ready to kill. The use of mace, a stun gun, or a firearm should only be used as a last resort.

Change Police Conduct
There has been a lot of chatter about how a Black man should act when confronted by the police. However, equally important is how the police must act when interacting with a Black man or woman, The word is respect – – mutual respect. Respect is a two way street. Our taxes pay the policeman's salary, his health care, and his pension benefits.  If the policeman understands that his conduct will subject him to review, discipline, and dismissal., he will govern himself accordingly.

All police abuse and misconduct will end.

A New Type of Policeman

You will have only a certain type of policeman who would be willing to work in this environment. I daresay that you would not have any that are white and racist. All those who are on the police force would be respectful, competent, and caring. At least they would care about keeping their jobs.

Darren Wilson Came From a Racist Police Force

While both white and black conservatives choose to disparage the character of a dead youngster and criticize the street protesters, they neglect to scrutinize the character of the person who killed Michael Brown.

Darren Wilson, the white policeman who killed the unarmed Black youngster came from a racist police force in the town of Jennings, Missouri that was so bad that it had to be disbanded (Read this article from the Washington Post regarding Darren Wilson). The white police chief who hired Darren Wilson apparently didn't care about Mr. Wilson's background nor the necessity of having a racially balanced police force.

And, by the way anyone who believes a murderer's side of a story when the person he murdered obviously can not give his side is either equally a racist or the type of person who would buy a bridge in the Sahara desert sight unseen.

As I mentioned in my article Michael Brown's Murderer was Let Off. Now the Next Step. The Black voters in Ferguson, Missouri need to elect a mayor from their own community, wipe out the entire police force and start over. Afterwards, they should view the current circumstances as an opportunity to rebuild the town by making it business friendly, provide school choice to give competition to the public schools, and in the rebuilding of the town, to give preference to Black contractors. If white people don't like this situation, I'm sure that they can find white communities across this country who typically do the same thing for white people that I'm proposing. They can leave and go there.                  

Michael Brown has Been Murdered . Stop This Now

​The change in the racial demographics of Ferguson, Missouri has been remarkable in recent years.  It appears that the town is approximately 67% black, 

33% white.  The police department has a white, incompetent police chief, and at least one overtly racist white policeman who live in another town over 25 miles away. 

Darren Wilson, the policeman who killed Michael Brown, did not live in
Ferguson, had no ties to the 

community, but was there to so-called "serve and protect" them.  The police chief admittedlydid not know that there was a profound disconnect between the police department and the 

community that they were supposed to serve.  The police chief is a complete joke.  Now, I 

understand that this department has hired a public relations firm that ironically is also 

white. The police department apparently was there to harass, or arrest, and kill the 

residential serve and protect.

That the Black communities across the US have been subjected to police harassment, abuse, and murders had been well documented.  The ACLU study was quite revealing.  The study 

reported in USA Today on the killing by policeman of Black boys and men was also equally 

revealing.  Hopefully, these studies are educational to interested white people, but Black 

men like me know from personal experience that this has always been occurring every day. 

It is rare to find a Black man who trust and respect the police was supposed to be protecting and serving them. Rather, they see the police department as an agency to fear and avoid.  White people who typically grew up with a different experience with the police don’t 

understand this.  And, although some may present themselves as being open-minded, this isdishonest and false.

​What you have in Ferguson, Missouri, is an 18-year-old Black man who was killed in cold blood by a white racist cop who could have either ignored Michael Brown, who was apparently jaywalking, or could have just sounded his horn if he was impeding the flow of traffic.  This young man was shot over six times.  Twice in the head. This was intent to kill an unarmed man who he had already shot four times and falling forward. To talk about the presence of Al Sharpton who was invited by the family, or Jesse Jackson was invited by others is irrelevant.To talk about the ongoing murders and mayhem in Chicago is also irrelevant.  

​To start the process of making sure that the possibility of future young Black men being murdered is lessened, Black voters need to become politically astute.Rather, than outsiders coming into a town to just to give a voice to the aggrieving family,they need to begin to organize 

the Black residents politically.  And, if they are not willing to do it, then they need someone from within their own ranks to begin the organizing.

It is totally unacceptable for a town with a Black population of over 67% to have a white 

mayor and a white police department with 53 white policemen and 3 Black policemen. The 

Black population in Ferguson, Missouri has been negligent in their duty.

​​What would seriously began to frighten the white politicians and the police in Ferguson, Missouri  is for Black people to forget the marching and holding up signs; develop a 

political agenda;  and, begin identifying and supporting candidates from within their own 

ranks to support their positions.  They would then begin to know that the tide is turning 

and change is coming.  If more white people then want to leave the town, then encourage 

them, and help them load up their trucks.

Michael Brown's Murder and White Conservative Bias

While Sean Hannity and other white and black conservative commentators want to disparage the reputation of Michael Brown who was murdered by a white racist policeman, Darren Wilson, they need to look at the background of the murderer as reported in the Washington Post. 

First of all if it is true that Michael Brown stole some cigarillos from a variety store, it has no bearing on the incident with the white policeman. There is a video taken by a witness who recorded the policeman who murdered him walking back and forth while Brown's body lay on the street. He did not show any evidence of having his "eye socket broke" . Moreover, as Dr. Baden stated there is no official report of this policeman being injured. And, third, there are four eye witnesses who stated that the policeman provoked this incident.

If  Brown was just jaywalking in the street, he could have blew his horn or ignored him if he was not impeding traffic. One of the eyewitness said that he told Brown to get the f....k out of the street and then grabbed Brown by the neck and then pulled his gun. Brown then pulled away, ran, and was caught up to by the policeman and then shot six times. This bull rushing the policeman argument is just stupid. No one with four bullet in his body and no weapon of any kind is a threat to anyone. Instead of shooting him two more times in the head, he should have called an ambulance and according to Dr. Baden, Brown could still be alive. This cop intended to kill him. 

Racism is Alive and Well
If you don't think that racism is alive and well in this country, notice how the white people in that town has raised over $400,000 for the white policeman. If a Black policeman has murdered a white teenager in a similar incident, you know as well as I do that they would not have been raising money for him. And don't forget how white folks raised money for the murderer of Trayvon Martin. And, finally if the policeman was wearing a body camera, he would not have shot Brown at all because he would have been instantly incriminated.

Stop Marching. Become Politically Powerful
In my opinion, the Black residents of Ferguson, Missouri must begin to become more politically sophisticated. They must organize themselves; identify a mayoral candidate from within their community; get the individual elected; replace the entire police department; and, finally establish a citizen review board with the power to fire policemen who use excessive force and charge them criminally. If the policemen don't want to work under these conditions, then it is a direct reflection on their character and they can go and apply somewhere else.

Again, the Black residents of Ferguson must quit marching in the street and use their numbers to become politically powerful. Afterwards future incidents such as the Michael Brown's murder will
become almost non-existent.

Police Murdering of Black Men – Michael Brown and others

Despite all the attempts by the predominately white police department at Ferguson, Missouri and conservative reporters and commentators – – both black and white – – to obfuscate the issue, it remains that you had an 18-year-old Black man who was murdered in cold blood by a white policeman.

Black Men Murdered Across the Country

Black men being murdered by police is common in this country.  It is rare to talk with a Black man who views their local police department as being an agency that exists to "serve and protect" them.  Rather, they see the police department as an agency to fear and avoid.  Police misconduct, abuse, and neglect is typical in the inner cities in this country.  Historically, Black life in this country has not been valued.  We have had to constantly protect ourselves from vicious white racists as well as the police who are supposed to protect us.

Although many Black conservative commentators have sound economic positions. those who are married to white people, such as Jason Riley and Deneen Borelli, who often appear on the Fox News Channel, have long both psychologically, physically, and socially separated themselves from the Black community and should be ignored as spokespeople for the Black experience.

Any Black person don’t understand that racism continue to be pervasive in this country is delusional and need to be evaluated by a mental health professional.

Unarmed Black Man Murdered

Again, you have an 18-year-old unarmed black man who was murdered in cold blood by a white policeman who is supposed to be serving and protecting the community to which he is assigned.  Any distracting comments or videos regarding Michael Brown’s character or whether Jesse Jackson or Al Sharpton should be on the scene are irrelevant.

Both Sharpton and Jackson are usually invited by those whose family members were murdered because they need a spokesman for an incident that would otherwise be ignored.  Sharpton was in Chicago earlier this year.  However, the mayhem and murders continue to rule the day. The solution to the problem is deep and multifaceted.  But there is a solution and I will expand on in upcoming posts. 

Control the Politics in Our Community

Meanwhile, black people need to take control of the politics in their communities, look inwards to their institutions such as their families, their churches, their private schools, and their community organizations to make sure they are teaching the value of Black life; to respect the life and property of others; to be prepared to defend themselves and their families; and to take advantage of opportunities to develop their minds and realize their true God-given potential. 

And finally, in controlling the politics of our communities, we have to develop an agenda to present to the politicians we are considering for our vote. We should then elect those politicians who support our agenda and hold them accountable.  They would then be in position to change how the police are hired, trained, and held accountable for their actions.

Obamacare is UnConstitutional

The fake applicants who applied for and are now receiving Obamacare subsidies further demonstrates the stupidity  of the federal government doing anything just that's not specifically authorized by the Constitution.

In my reading of the Constitution, I can’t find in it anywhere where it authorizes Congress to use federal tax money to pay for healthcare.  It is not a right to that has to be recognized.  It clearly states in the 10th Amendment to the Constitutioin, "The powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by the States, are reserved to the states respectively,or to the people."   

Healthcare for citizens in this country is a state issue and concern, not a federal one.  The federal government under Obama’s leadership is once again overstepping his boundaries.  State governments can find appropriate solutions to the healthcare needs of its residents.

All federal programs are plagued with waste,fraud,  abuse, duplication of services, and an incompetent, self-serving bureaucracy.

Medicare recently announced that it had discovered $34.6 billion in overpayment in 2013. Its likely to be more this year. The Obamacare fraudulent enrollments clearly show that this newest incidence of the federal government overstepping its boundaries is following the same pattern as Medicare.​Medicare, however, must be saved. Too many retirees and soon-to-be retirees are depending upon it.  The waste and fraud must be wringed out and more choices must be offered to the recipient. ​Obamacare, on the other hand, must be completely repealed.  It is a broken egg that cannot be put back together.  It needs to be replaced with state administered plans that emphasizes free market competition, patient choice, and an opportunity for any company sell its policies in any state of the union.

As I watch the news account of the destruction of Gaza and the killing of the Palestinian people, I'm reminded of the holocaust that Black people have experienced in this country at the hands of white people.


Take some time and read these attached articles and afterwards share them with both your white and Black friends. While these articles specifically focuses on the Destruction of the Black Wall Street in Tulsa, Oklahoma, and the Destruction of Black Rosewood, Florida, the holocausts Black people have faced in this country closely approximates the destruction and death innocent Palestinians are currently facing and have faced in the past from the Israeli military. 

Also, I invite you to do your own research and discover even more atrocities white people have committed against Black people people in this country. Draw your own comparisons afterwards.

Rev, T.D. Jakes is Wrong. Animals Have Instincts, not Human Beings

Instinct is defined as a behavior pattern that is universal for a species -- that is, every member of the species does it without any opportunity to learn.  At one time psychologists believed that human behavior, like that of animals, is instinctive.  In the late 1880s and early 1900s, psychologist William James and William MacDougal argued that people have instincts that foster survival and social behavior.

However, before I go further, here are some words from the Scriptures that I hope Rev. Jakes, as a man who is delivering God’s message, will reread and reconsider his comparison of man to animals.

God Created Man in His image

God clearly says from creation that people (male and female) are superior to animals - Gen. 1:26-28; Psalm 8:4-8. Man is more valuable to God than animals - Matt. 10:29-31; 12:11, 12; 6:26; 15:26. Men are more intelligent than animals - Job 35:10,11; Psalms 73:22; Hosea 7:11; Psalms 32:9. Because of this superior intelligence, God is able to communicate to man by the written word, the Scriptures - 2 Tim. 3:16,17. What has God written to communicate His will to animals?

Even more important, the Bible clearly teaches that men were created in the image of God - Gen. 1:26-28; 5:1; 9:2-6; James 3:9. This is not said of animals. Men have spirits that are responsible to study God's word and obey it - Job 32:8; Zechariah 12:1; 2

Corinthians 4:16-5:1. Ecclesiastes 3:21 - The spirit of man goes upward, but the spirit of a beast goes down to the earth. There is a sense in which an animal has a spirit - animal life. But it does not continue past death. (Isaiah 31:3)

Men will be judged for their lives, good or bad, and will receive eternal rewards accordingly - Genesis 2:16, 17; Ecclesiastes 12:13, 14; Hebrews 9:27; Matthew 12:36; Acts 17:30,31; 2 Timothy 3:16,17; Romans 2:6-10; Hebrews 4:9. Animals do not have this moral responsibility - Matthew 7:6; 23:33; 12:34; Acts 20:29, 30; Titus 1:12,13; 2 Peter 2:12; Jude 10; 1 Peter 5:8; Proverbs 26:3.

Finally, the most important proof of all is that Jesus died to save mankind - human beings, not animals - Titus 2:11,12; 3:3-7; 1 Timothy 2:4-6; Isaiah 53:5,8; Romans 5:6-9,12,18,19.

If God values animals as equally important to man, why did Jesus not die for them? The answer is obvious. Animals have no spirit, no moral responsibility, no eternal destiny, and therefore they are not held accountable for right and wrong. Jesus did not die to save them because they do not need to be saved.

Men are superior to animals in their spirit, their intelligence, their value to God, their moral responsibility, their eternal destiny, and in the price God paid to save them from sin.

Now, returning to the concept of instinct, today, it is rare to find any psychologists, psychiatrists, clinical social workers, or any other mental health professionals that believe that human behavior is motivated by instinct.  If the behavior pattern is instinctive, they argue, it should be found throughout the species. However, there’s so much variation in the way people behave that human behavior cannot be describes as instinctive.

Man has Intuition, Not Instincts

Intuition is the most appropriate concept when applied to human beings and one in which I will substitute for instinct.  Intuition is defined as a kind of immediate knowledge or awareness not based upon some logical process -- a form of insight that brings together appropriately relationships between the elements of a problem or situation.


The key distinction to be made here is that by definition instinct can only be applied to animals while intuition can only be applied to human beings.
Intuition allows you to discover unseen realities and hidden truths. It alerts you to problems and warns you of risks and dangers you might not otherwise detect. It is that sixth sense -- that faculty of the mind that operates independently of reason and logic. It is a way of sensing something that produces instantaneous comprehension and can occur spontaneously.
Certain qualities make you more sensitive to intuitive experiences like relaxation, patience, and self-control. Do not confuse intuition with hope, emotion, or intellect. Rather, it is developed through trial and error. Moreover, it cannot be explained. You know when you have it.

Awakening intuition is about learning to trust yourself. You need to let your intuition guide you and then be willing to follow that guidance directly and fearlessly. Now, here's the:

Four Ways to Develop Your Intuition

Intuition can be developed to produce genius in individuals thought to be mediocre or even of inferior intelligence. Here then are four tips for developing your intuition:
1. Learn to tune into intuitive experiences and to recognize their quality. Intuitive impulses are a form of sensed perception and are distinguished by a vague sense of being certain or almost certain.
2. Be aware of soft facts as well as hard facts. Soft facts are less formal or obvious such as impressions, feelings, inclinations, and vibrations. Hard facts are logical, objective, and overt. Soft facts are hunches, intuitive, and invisible. Hard facts are obvious, conscious, and tangible. In most situations both soft and hard facts will reveal themselves.
3. Intuition is commonly experienced within the context of choice. When a choice need to be made, intuition will signal stop or go. This faculty is developed by comparison and contrast. By comparing your subjective experience with the eventual correctness or incorrectness of your choice, you can eventually sense the expression which will match up.
4. Be true to your intuition. Extraneous factors will often intrude, such as social pressures, wish fulfillment, greed, impatience and so on which can alter the basis for your decision.

A word of caution. Do not rely solely upon your intuition. Study the situation. Use the other side of your brain and do your research. After you have done your research, then let your intuition guide you to your final choice. Intuition is something to be used in conjunction with your logical, rational abilities.

Now you know that the next time you hear a commentator, analyst, broadcaster, Rev. Jakes or anyone else associate the term instinct with human beings, it is charitable to say that you are listening to someone who is just being imprecise in their thinking.

Sharpton in Chicago. Say It Isn't So

The masses are waking up.  Even in Chicago, the Democratic stronghold of corruption, the masses of beginning to wake up and saying, we have had enough.  I hope I’m not just wishfully thinking. 

Sharpton did not get what he expected in a recent town hall meeting.  It was a meeting which was supposed to deal with

gun violence, but the folks were not going to have any of it.

They realize that gun control only take the guns out of the hands of law-abiding citizens.  The gang bangers and criminal types are not going to legally buy guns – – they have the own network for acquiring guns.  The politicians and police need to focus on a strategy for destroying that network rather than stopping law-abiding citizen from protecting themselves, their families, and their property.  If the town hall meeting was focusing on this issue, perhaps some great ideas may have emerged.

It was fun to see Sharpton invading Jesse Jackson’s turf and, in essence, telling Jesse, you have no influence in your town anymore.  What an insult!

Nevertheless, the folks said that it is the lack of jobs and the alarming number of foreclosures in the Black community that need to be addressed.  Neither Sharpton nor Obama have a clue as to what to do about these problems.

The only significant employment for Black folks in Chicago has been the recent opening of a Wal-Mart in Roseland – – one of the most depressed neighborhoods in Chicago and the prospect of another Wal-Mart in Englewood – – another equally depressed Black neighborhood.  

Obamacare, high taxes, red tape, and union dominated politics have effectively kept business out of the Black neighborhoods and , indeed, in Chicago and across the state of Illinois. Wealthy people and corporations have been leaving Illinois at a disturbing rate.  Democrats are continuing to destroy both Chicago and the State of Illinois.

A Unique and Different View of the 2013 March on Washington

When the original March on Washington occurred, I was serving overseas in Korea as a soldier in the U.S. Army. If I was in this country, I would have personally been at the March.

Back in 1963, there is no cable television, personal computers, the Internet, and even television itself was still in his early childhood years. We didn’t have a television set in our barracks and took thirty days to get a letter from home. No one had a radio except the company commander and no one had a telephone. When Kennedy was murdered, we were put on alert, all of our leaves were canceled, but it wasn’t until a day later that we learned that he was assassinated by a US citizen.

In this historical context, Jim Crow laws were still the norm in the South, the Mason-Dixon Line still existed, and white racist Democrat governors ruled the Southern states. What Black Americans need to understand today that by voting overwhelmingly Democratic, we are perpetuating the racist practices that the racist Democrat governors who ruled the South wanted to exist, but who then carried out their practices overtly, now the Democrats, nationwide, carry them out covertly.

It was the Republican President Dwight David Eisenhower who pushed through both the Civil Rights Acts of 1957 and 1960. Prior to 1957, during the presidential campaign of 1956, the Republican platform had expressly endorsed the Supreme Court decision in Brown v. Board of Education. The Democratic platform did not.

President Eisenhower also established the Civil Rights Commission and it was as Eisenhower, not Truman,who fully desegregated the military. I could go on about how the Republicans had to constantly fight against the white racist Democrats in an effort to secure the Civil Rights of Black Americans, but I now want to make an observation about this 2013 March on Washington commemoration.

I considered it to be downright disrespectful and politically stupid that no prominent Republicans were invited to speak at this commemoration. Rather two former presidents were invited – – the grossly incompetent and pathetic, Jimmy Carter and the morally decrepit, Bill Clinton – – both were born and raised in the Jim Crow South and exhibited the typical racist characteristics, personality, and beliefs that white folks had who came to age during that era. Indeed, Clinton admits that the racist, J. William Fullbright, was his mentor. And there’s a reason why the Jimmy Carter administration was left out of the “Butler” movie. Someone should ask Lee Daniels why?

Let me conclude on a note that neither this nation, nor the world would have known or experience the grace and competence of Colin Powell and Condoleezza Rice if it wasn’t for the administrations of Ronald Reagan and both George H W Bush and George W. Bush. Because of their backgrounds and views, neither Carter nor Clinton probably never even considered doing something like that.
