The country of France has very strict gun-control laws, but
we should have discovered is that the Islamic terrorists have no problems
acquiring sidearms, rifles or any other weapons. Obviously they don’t acquire
them legally They have their own underground network for acquiring weapons. Or if they don’t have specific weapons, they are willing to use any other unorthodox means for committing their atrocities. The law abiding citizens are just sitting ducks – – unable to defend themselves.
Such an incident could never occur in Texas or any other
state in which citizens have concealed carry or open carry. Perhaps a few
people could have been run over but never the 84+ that occurred in France. Once
it was determined that this truck driver was intent on killing people, the
citizens would’ve opened fire on this
killer shooting through his windshield, shooting through his side windows, and
shooting out his tires to stop him.
In no way would he have been allowed to travel the distance
he did and kill the 84+ people that he was able to do. Citizens are the first
line of defense, not the police. The Second Amendment was written into our
Constitution for us to protect ourselves and against the intrusion of the government
against our rights.
