Black Lives Didn't Matter in the Past nor the Present

"White" and "Jim Crow" rai...

According to an independent autopsy conducted by the world renown Dr. Michael Baden on Michael Brown, the white policeman, Darren Wilson, had initially shot Michael Brown three times, hitting him in his limbs which was nonfatal. He was on the ground bleeding.

Dr. Baden said, that if Wilson had called an ambulance at that time, Michael Brown would still be living today.

However, instead of doing so, he shot him twice in the head with the intention of killing him and then let him lay on the ground and bleed to death. A video shot from a nearby apartment building and shown on CNN, showed Brown dead on the ground with Wilson prancing back and forth.

As I mentioned in a previous article, a policeman should never be allowed to testify in his own behalf when he has murdered a citizen. How can that be any more one-sided. Only the evidence should be presented. Anyone who has been shot three times, and is unarmed and bleeding is no threat to anyone.

Dr. Baden testified on CNN with a diagram showing where the bullets fired by Wilson entered and exited Brown’s body.  If you doubt what I’m saying, do a search on You Tube and check it out. Black lives didn't matter in the past nor in the present.
  • Black lives didn't matter when my ancestors were torn from their African homeland and transported to this country in slave ships in the most horrific conditions imaginable.
  • Black lives didn't matter when my ancestors were enslaved for over 300 years in this country, had their children and relatives taken, and sold to other slave owners and never see them again.
  • Black didn't matter when during the Post-Reconstruction and Jim Crow era over 3,000 Black folks were lynched many with their heads cut off, and Black women had their bellies split.
  • And, Black lives don't matter today when unarmed Black men and boys are murdered by white policemen.
I am not aware of any Black policemen shooting white citizens whether armed or unarmed. Perhaps they are more disciplined or realize that they will quickly lose their jobs and be prosecuted for murder.

If Black policemen were shooting and killing white citizens at the rate in which white policeman are killing Black citizens then I would say all lives matters. That’s not happening and I don’t expect that to happen. But, I do expect that when a white policeman kills a Black citizen, they will be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law, just like anyone else.
